By booking a trip with Herd Horizons, participants acknowledge and accept these risks voluntarily. Participants agree that they are undertaking the trip at their own responsibility and understand that Herd Horizons, its guides, staff, and partners shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, accident, delay, or unforeseen circumstances occurring during the trip.
15. Mandatory Fitness
Participants must ensure that they are physically and mentally fit to undertake the trek or trip they have booked. Certain treks involve long walking hours, steep ascents, high altitude conditions, and physically demanding terrain.
Herd Horizons reserves the right to refuse participation or remove any participant from the trek if the participant is deemed physically unfit, medically unsuitable, or unable to continue safely. No refund shall be provided in such cases.
Participants with medical conditions must consult a qualified doctor before booking.
16. No-Refund Evacuation
In case a participant requires evacuation or leaves the trek voluntarily due to illness, injury, altitude sickness, personal reasons, or lack of fitness, no refund shall be provided for the remaining portion of the trip.
All evacuation expenses including transportation, medical treatment, rescue operations, or accommodation shall be borne entirely by the participant.
Herd Horizons will assist in arranging evacuation where possible but shall not be responsible for the cost or availability of evacuation services.
17. Itinerary Changes
Trip itineraries may be changed, modified, or cancelled due to weather conditions, natural hazards, road conditions, government restrictions, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances.
The decision of the trek leader or Herd Horizons management shall be final in such situations and must be followed by all participants.
No refund shall be provided for itinerary changes made in the interest of safety.
18. Personal Responsibility
Participants are responsible for their personal belongings including luggage, equipment, electronics, and valuables during the trip.
Herd Horizons shall not be responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the trip.
19. Insurance Clause
Participants are strongly advised to obtain personal travel insurance covering accident, injury, evacuation, and medical emergencies.
Herd Horizons shall not be responsible for any medical or emergency expenses incurred during the trip.
